Search Engine Snippet Size Matters : When a #1 Search Engine Ranking Isn't Enough

Two earlier posts here and here inadvertently drew much organic search engine traffic to this blog from people looking for the commercials and answers online. Hence the link to the StaySharp.tv site above.
Over time, the StaySharp.tv link on Google has risen to number 1 for searches for "staysharp.tv". But this blog still draws traffic from searches for "staysharp.tv", even though this blog is ranked below the official Mountain Dew StaySharp website listing on Google.
Why is this happening? Because StaySharp.tv does not have a snippet for Google. Its listing is therefore very short, rendering it invisible (or meaningless) to many Google visitors.

Being ranked #1 is not always enough. Snippet size matters!
Feel free to use this example to support why making sure a keyword-rich snippet of 150-200 characters exists is well worth the time and effort, particularly if you have an all flash site.
